Overtone Corporation, established in Japan, develops and sells design tools and models that support the front-end process of development for the semiconductor device LSI, which is the core parts of systems and equipment, based on our original "UML to RTL technology".
We provide our design tool NSL Overture that embodied our original technology to improve design productivity for engineers in domestic and overseas companies involved in LSI development. And we provide not only technical education and tool training, but also design consulting including productivity improvement, and contract designing of software and hardware (IP / FPGA / ASIC) according to customer requirements.
It is important to improve the quality and create added value for differentiating final products and services. In addition, the number of workers is declining due to the declining birthrate and the aging population, and in order to achieve work sharing, work-life balance, and improvement of workers' mental health, it is indispensable to secure spare capacity by the productivity improvement.
Hereafter, how to improve development productivity, we will introduce our "UML to RTL technology" and its benefits using a case study that visualizes the specifications and improves maintainability and reusability.
